Very Exciting News!
Considering a Postgraduate Certificate?
Improve International are Europe’s leaders in the provision of structured modular training programmes for veterinary surgeons. Since 2004, delegates attending a number of these programmes have been able to study for a General Practitioner Certificate, awarded by the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ESVPS).
Over the last year, Improve International and ESVPS have been working closely with Hartpury College which is a Faculty of the University of the West of England (UWE). We are delighted to announce that modular programmes in the following subjects have been validated by UWE at Masters Level:
• Practice Management and Professional Key Skills
• Small Animal Practice
• Equine Practice
• Production Animal Practice
The objective is to continue to develop the partnership with Hartpury College/UWE with a view to
offering delegates the opportunity to study for a University awarded post-graduate Certificate, Diploma and ultimately Masters Degree.
Hartpury Colllege are also currently applying to the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) for accreditation of the assessment processes for the above four programmes. This accreditation would then allow delegates to use the programmes as stepping stones towards the new RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP). The ‘Practice Management and Professional Key Skills’ programme would be suitable for delegates wishing to enrol in the compulsory RCVS ‘A’ module in ‘Professional Key Skills’, whilst the three species-based programmes would fulfil the criteria for the RCVS ‘B’ modules in those subjects. Improve International in association with Hartpury/UWE will also be offering delegates who enrol on these species-based programmes the opportunity to undertake the compulsory RCVS ‘B’ module in ‘Clinical Key Skills’.
A brochure will be in the next issue of Veterinary Record, and copies will be sent out to all delegates on our database in the next few days.
