There are dentals that everyone fears - the complex extractions of the big multi-rooted teeth. These provide intense anxiety for the new graduate to the experienced vet. With poor technique they can result in massive trauma to the patient, leading to pain and a dissatisfied client. They can take far longer than anyone wants leading to stressed vets and an inability to charge properly for the time. Whilst a little sweat is almost inevitable, hopefully good technique and surgical options can reduce the stress to a minimum. Good technique means happier patients and happier clients - it is also something that can be charged for properly. The course will consist of a mix of short review lectures, followed by "hands-on" practical sessions.
