Neil Forbes BVetMed RFP DipECAMS FRCVS (RCVS Recognised Specialist zoo and Wildlife Medicine (Avian)

 

European Recognised Specialist in avian medicine and surgery). Neil is currently President of ECAMS. Neil is a part time Senior Lecturer at Bristol Vet School and heads the AE department at Great Western Referrals, Swindon. Neil runs the only ECAMS approved Residency in the UK.

Course content:

The course will major on common avian soft tissue (ingluviotomy, coeliotomy, salpingohysterectomy, orchidectomy, cloacopexi, cloacoplasty, liver biopsy, lung biopsy, trachectomy, tracheotomy), orthopaedic (repair of femur, humerus, tibiotarsus, tarso metatarsus and ulna) and endoscopic procedures. The course will also detail basic and advanced avian radiographic diagnostic techniques.

 

Who should attend 

Any clinician with an interest in exotics, in particular those who are frustrated with the unknown, or poor diagnostic or surgical results. This course will allow delegates to carry out all procedures, with the best equipment, with small group tuition, to maximize your opportunity to gain the confidence to carry out these procedures on your own patients in your own practice, to yield a high chance of a positive outcome.
