Lorraine graduated from the RVC in 1990 and in 1994 was awarded the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology. As a member of the Comparative Ophthalmology Unit at the Animal Health Trust for 11 years, she has been involved with both clinical work and research. In 2005 she started an Ophthalmology referral service at the Grove Veterinary Group in Fakenham, Norfolk. Lorraine is currently raising a young family, working towards her Diploma

Are you at a loss to know exactly what topical or indeed systemic medications to use for treating eye conditions? This one day course is all about helping you decide on the most appropriate treatment for your patients. It will start with the principles of ocular pharmacology and then move on to an overview of the drugs available to use, both licensed and unlicensed, for the management of eye disease in our patients. There will then be ample opportunity for interactive case studies to help you develop treatment plans for commonly encountered ophthalmic conditions.

By the end of this course, delegates should have a thorough understanding of:

• The theory behind medicating the eye
• When to use topical and / or systemic medications for ocular disease
• The range of drugs currently available including licensed and unlicensed products
• How to choose the right class of drugs for a particular problem
• Appropriate treatment regimes for common ophthalmic conditions.
