Don Sheahan BVSc BSc CertSAS MRCVS (Speaking in Leeds and Swindon)
Don graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1992 with a BSc in Biology and attained his BVSc from the University of Liverpool in 1995. Following graduation he worked for the PDSA in Liverpool for 6 months. After a further three years in first opinion small animal practice he moved to the Animal Medical Centre Referral Services in Manchester, where he obtained his certificate in Small Animal Surgery. In 2005 he took up his current post as Lecturer in Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery at the University of Glasgow and is enrolled on the European diploma in surgery.
Damian Chase BVSc MACVSc(Surgery) MRCVS (Speaking in Harefield and Brighton)
Damian graduated from Massey University, New Zealand in 1997. He spent the next three years in the deep south of New Zealand doing mainly dairy, sheep and beef work followed by three years as a locum in England doing mixed work (including foot and mouth). Eventually he realized that his calling was surgery and he moved back to New Zealand and studied for Australian college membership exams in small animal surgery. He completed an internship at Davies veterinary specialists in Hertfordshire and six months ago started a residency in small animal surgery in Glasgow. He is interested in all aspects of surgery especially complex fracture fixation and surgical oncology. He considers himself very fortunate to spend the next 3 years here, beside the lochs and highlands studying for the ECVS Diploma |
