Who should attend
This course aims to give delegates confidence to deal with the common emergencies seen in small animal practice. It is suitable for all practitioners who see emergency cases who would like to improve their understanding of emergency medicine.
What the course will help the attendees to do
• Approach emergency situations with confidence
• Be able to utilize a range of vascular access techniques such as central lines and intra osseous catheters
• Be familiar with a range of diagnostic techniques such as diagnostic peritoneal lavage and how to interpret results
• Have practical experience with emergency procedures such as chest drain placement, tracheostomy and pericardiocentesis
• Have confidence to place a variety of enteral feeding tubes
