Erosive and ulcerative dermatitis
At the end of this module, delegates should be able to:
• List the common causes of erosion and ulceration
• Describe the pathogenesis of erosions and ulceration
• Outline how to investigate cases of skin disease presenting as erosions and ulceration using a problem-orientated approach
• Describe the treatment and management of animals with erosive and ulcerative skin disease

The diagnosis and management of skin disease represents a major component of small animal practice.
The anatomy and physiology of skin will be covered before considering the approach to a dermatological examination and the range of diagnostic tests available. Common clinical presentations will be included, as will both the treatment and management of these conditions. There will be suggested reading between modules and delegates will be asked to contribute to group discussions. At the end of the course the diligent delegate will have a much improved knowledge of Dermatology.
Above all, the aim is to encourage further learning.
