Endoscopy as an aid to diagnosis coupled with endosurgery as an alternative to more conventional surgical treatments are a rapidly growing area of veterinary practice. New veterinary applications, often following human advances, can be extremely useful in both the investigation and treatment of disease in small and large animals. Having experienced endoscopic procedures first hand, clients often have a good knowledge of these techniques and expect them to be available to their pets. Reliable and increasingly affordable equipment designed specifically for veterinary applications make the procedures safer and in many cases within the abilities of the general practitioner.

This very practical 12-module programme will provide delegates with a thorough grounding in both the theory and hands-on skills needed to start introducing endoscopy into their practice. Each module will combine the very latest in knowledge with the opportunity to practice new skills in a safe environment. Comprehensive training will enhance confidence and provide an integrated learning experience. Delegates will also have the opportunity to study for a new Postgraduate qualification awarded by the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ESVPS); the General Practitioner Certificate in Endoscopy and Endosurgery. This is intended to provide a benchmarked and achievable qualification across Europe for veterinarians with a special interest in this subject
