RCVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Surgery (Orthopaedics)

Angus Anderson qualified in 1987. From 1988 he spent 10 years teaching and undertaking research at the Royal “Dick” in Edinburgh that culminated in a PhD and the RCVS Diploma in Small Animal Orthopaedics. In 2005, after several years in private referral practices he established Anderson Abercromby Veterinary Referrals in Surrey with Ralph Abercromby. He has lectured extensively in the UK and contributed to several BSAVA manuals on orthopaedic topics.

Course summary:

 

The course will cover all aspects of how to manage pelvic trauma in the dog. The surgical management of sacroiliac luxations, ilial fractures and acetabular fractures will be covered in depth. The complications of pelvic trauma will be discussed with emphasis on their recognition and management.

 

Who should attend

 

The course is ideal for individuals with an interest in small animal orthopaedics who wish to advance their knowledge and understanding of managing pelvic injuries and their complications in dogs. It will be of particular value to individuals registered for the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery.

Registration and coffee 9.00am. Course starts at 9.30am and finishes at 5.00pm each day.

Course Fees:

£750.00 plus VAT  (£881.25 in total)
