Dentistry - Common dental diseases affecting the pulp

BDS (Lond.) Dentist to the Veterinary Profession.

John qualified as a dentist in 1984 and worked in general dental practice for 6 years. He has worked in veterinary dentistry full time since 1992 and was a BVDA course organiser from 1995 until 2004. His work is increasingly focused on advancing dentistry in general veterinary practice.

 

This course is taken from the full programme Nurse Certificate in Small Animal Dentistry and is suitable as a stand-alone course. This programme is now accredited by the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies and leads to the qualification Nurses Certificate in Dentistry - NCert(Dent)

 

 

 

 

Key Learning Objectives:

 

Common dental diseases affecting the pulp

  • Describe the anatomy and physiology of the tooth components
  • Understand how the pulp interlinks with tooth tissues and the body at large
  • Recognise the common dental diseases and problems that can involve the pulp
  • Understand how dental pain is expressed.
  • Know how to evaluate and treat these dental diseases
  • Chart completely the dental condition

 Registration and coffee 9.15am. Course starts at 9.30am and finishes at 5.00pm

Course Fees:

Attend this day only: £229.00 plus VAT (£263.35 in total)

 

Attend this day and the course on the following day (Pre-anaesthetic assessment and premedication. Intravenous and inhalant anaesthetics) for £435.10 plus VAT (£500.37 in total)

 

Fees include notes online before and after the event (where available), refreshments and a buffet meal, and hard copies of notes on the day.

 

Accommodation is not included, but is available at the venue (Alexandra House) where we have managed to secure a certain number of rooms at negotiated rates.
