Course Content
Infectious disease prevention is the main theme of this course - the roles played by vaccination, good hygiene practice and stress reduction. Subjects to be covered in depth include:
• Feline calicivirus (including virulent systemic FCV infection)
• Feline chronic gingivostomatitis
• Feline herpesvirus This course will also look at infectious disease control in multicat situations - especially rescue shelters, cat breeders and veterinary surgeries.

• Describe the steps involved in diagnosing a cat with upper respiratory disease
• Discuss various options for treating chronic feline gingivostomatitis
• Have good knowledge of the main causes of fading kittens
