Howard B. Seim III DVM, Diplomate ACVS Professor of Small Animal Surgery, Colorado State University

 

Howard is a graduate of Washington State University. He did his internship at Saskatoon, Canada, followed by a residency at the Animal Medical Centre in New York City and has been teaching small animal surgery at Colorado State University for 30 years. He was Chief of the Small Animal Surgery section at Colorado State University from 1992 to 2002.

Course content

Topics have been chosen that represent surgical conditions commonly seen in cats and will include nasal planum resection, esophagostomy feeding tube placement, how to catheterise a female cat, perineal urethrostomy, pubic urethrosotmy, perineal hernia repair, ventral bulla osteotomy, thoracentesis, chest drain placement, diaphragmatic hernia repair, visceral organ biopsy, cholecystoduodenostomy, and subtotal colectomy.
