Case-based discussions in Small Animal Medicine

Course content:
This course will discuss a selection of interesting clinical cases to cover several of the more challenging areas of small animal medicine. This course will also aim to provide delegates with a sound understanding of some of the more common clinical presentations encountered in practice and give delegates the confidence required to assess and manage these patients successfully. Delegates will be encouraged to participate in decision making and are encouraged to bring recent problem cases for discussion.
Key Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, delegates should have a thorough understanding of:

  • The anaemic patient and how and when to transfuse
  • How to approach the bleeding patient
  • The investigation and treatment of the jaundiced patient
  • How to approach and manage the patient with respiratory tract disease
  • The investigation and treatment of urinary tract disease
