Equine skin disease is common and the range of conditions identified is substantial. A considerable amount of new knowledge has been published recently on some of the more common conditions and research is ongoing. Many clinicians still, however, find this area of clinical work both confusing and difficult. In many cases a specific diagnosis is not made and multiple treatments may be tried.
This course is designed to help to clarify the approach to equine skin diseases by splitting them into their most likely presentations and showing how these can then be defined into a specific disease diagnosis and treatment. Three internationally recognised clinicians with a wealth of knowledge and publications on equine skin disease will use highly illustrated lectures, case-based small group discussions, quizzes and panel discussions to help delegates gain knowledge and confidence in this confusing area of equine disease.
The course will be conducted in a friendly and informal manner with plenty of time for discussion. The course is suitable for mixed and equine clinicians in practice as well as fulfilling part of the syllabus of the original and new RCVS certificates in equine subjects and dermatology. |
