Course outline

Toxicology is often neglected in the CPD programme calendar, probably because most clinicians would not attend a course as they remember how badly taught and boring it was in their undergraduate courses!

This course intends to change that situation by demonstrating how important the subject is in the day-to-day cases seen by the mixed or equine practitioner. It will concentrate on those problems which are most common in the UK and Europe, their clinical signs and differential diagnosis and their most effective treatment and/or prevention.

A group of experienced and highly interactive equine clinicians using lectures, case-based discussions and panel questions will hopefully inspire the delegates to greater interest and knowledge of the subject.

The course is designed for mixed and equine clinicians and will also fulfil part of the new RCVS equine certificate syllabus.
