Kavit Manro BVetMed MRCVS
Kavit graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2004. He works in a busy small animal practice where he performs a large proportion of the surgery. He is currently completing the certificate in small animal surgery and has a large interest in soft tissue surgery.
Veterinary nurses have a hugely important role with respect to small animal soft tissue surgery. Especially as RCVS listed VNs can perform certain procedures (Schedule 3). This two-day course is designed to be highly practical and interactive - so delegates will leave feeling confident with the techniques discussed and eager to scrub in! The course will review basic surgical principles and the pre and postoperative care of a variety of soft tissue cases. Practical techniques such as suturing, stapling, instrument handling, gloving and gowning will be a major part of the course, followed by practical sessions to allow delegates to practise and develop their surgical skills.
Who should attend:
The course is designed for all qualified veterinary nurses working in small animal practice no matter what level of experience, especially if they are interested in surgery, regularly scrub-in or if they simply wish to brush-up their techniques.
