Who should attend:

Any clinician seeing parrots in practice, especially those who did not receive a comprehensive university training in this discipline (i.e. everyone), should attend this course. We cannot give all the answers in a day, but we will comprehensively cover the diagnostic approach and critical care.

• Recognise the importance of a full diagnostic approach
•  Safely anaesthetize birds
• Collect and process clinical pathology samples
• Make a specific diagnosis
• Keep the bird alive for long enough to treat it
• Give the bird the best chance of making a full recovery
